INNER SCIENCE was formed at the end of 90s. A solo project by Tokyo-based Masumi Nishimura, who in his early career made his mark in the so-called Japanese Hip Hop scene, following which in 2000 he departed the narrowly-defined Hip Hop genre to focus on instrumental electronic music.
Presenting a perfect mix of beautiful melodies and fast beats, INNER SCIENCE have gained unprecedented attention both in Japan and overseas.
His recent solo work "Elegant confections e.p." 12 inch released on his own private label PLAIN MUSIC in 2007 November and subsequently "Split" "Attributions e.p." 12 inch & "Attributions remix e.p." 10 inch with AZZURRO were released in March 2008.
His activity as DJ runs parallel with many of his productions and live performances. In addition to his musical activities, and various remixes for artists and sound engineering work, art direction for record jackets and apparel, his own private label "PLAIN MUSIC" and the management, Nishimura is also involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities.
